Friday, 5:00 pm Update

Sorry there was no update this morning. Steve had a bad night last night so we spent the morning at the doctors office. Steve has a tube in his stomach that is attached to a bag. Most of the time the tube is capped off. When he feels sick we connect the tube up to the bag and drain the contents of his stomach. We will have to do this for the next couple of weeks or until his stomach and pancreas heal and start to function properly. This whole process does not allow Steve much rest and we are ever vigilant that he does not get dehydrated. If this occurs its back to the hospital we go. The doctor has him on two different anti-nausea medicines but so far they are not helping much. Thankfully his incision is healing well... he got the staples out yesterday, and he's very mobile. He just has no
energy and he dozes alot. Please keep those prayers coming....we need them more than ever.

There will be a lot of ups and downs don't loose the faith. Just sleep when you can and do what ever you were told to do. nothing more. Steve let Paddy wait on you hand and foot. This is the only time Paddy will do for you with no trouble enjoy!!! We love you and we will keep the prayers coming.

Hey Cuz,

We're thinking about you and praying for a speedy recovery. I hope you are resting better soon. We had a little excitement here this week - Charlie ran into a brick wall and now has six stitches in the middle of his forehead. Just like his Dad. We love you. Keep the faith.

Dearest Paddy and Steve,
I am so sorry Steve is having such a hard time but after so much surgery
it is probably expected. We say our prayers daily for both of you.One to give you the strength you need as a caregiver and two for Steve to keep up his spirit and God will pull him through this ordeal. If you need us, we are just a phone call away.
Love as Always,
Norma
