Friday, 9:30 pm Update

Well, it's been another long day.......but a good one. Steve is doing very well. Both his surgeon and his oncologist are very pleased with his progress. To quote his oncologist "That is the strongest man I have ever seen." He was up and sitting in his chair at least twice today. They want him to move around and use the incentive spirometer to take deep breaths as much as possible so that he doesn't get pneumonia. Steve is obeying the doctor but it's hard to take a deep breath right now so he's doing the best he can. He wants to get up and walk a little but it's not time to do that yet....I think he's getting antsy. He was tired when I left the hospital tonight. Hopefully he will get a good nights sleep and we will have another good day tomorrow. After sitting in the ICU waiting room all day today it reminds me once again how blessed we all are. There are some real sad situations in that hospital. Thank you God for all our blessings!!!!! Paddy

Dearest Paddy,
Thank you so much for the update.
We have been so worried and have relied on Philip to send us news
We are praying very hard and you know we love you and Steve very much.
Please tell him to keep the faith
and God will take good care of him.
Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you and your family.
Love,
Norma and Macky

Hi,Steve, Paddy, and kids. Louis and I will be up to see you soon, so have that incentive spirometer ready for a full "blown" demonstration! We have prayed for you daily and continue to do so and thank you so much for your strength and example of courage and faith. Also, your family photo is so amazing and so demonstrative of your warmth, love, and family values. We can't wait to see you!! Much love, Wadia, Louis, Christopher, & Maria

Thanks Paddy, I hope I did a better job explaining with the last email I sent? Glad you are posting now. Daily mass and rosaries will continue to be offered for Steve & the entire family and I challenge some of our friends, if you really love Steve, to make some special offerings like returning to confession and then all the Sacraments of the Church for God rewards such offerings with many miracles that are requested, some of which have already been granted.Praised be Jesus Christ for all of His Blessings to Steve! Love Phillip & Carol

Paddy, I am sure you know how deeply Uncle Paul, J. and Margaret Ann all love you and Steve. J. called this morning on his way home from Atlanta to check on him.
Steve looked great and has the right attitude. You are in our prayers as well as Steve.

We are waiting on a job!
